Ayhan ERDOGAN

In terms of work experience, he worked at the Turkish School of Army Aviation within the Turkish State Meteorological Service (TSMS) between 1997-2004, at the Department of External Relations of TSMS between 2004-2005, and at the Analysis and Forecasting/Warning Directorate of the Forecasting Department of TSMS between 2005-2022. He took part as a senior trainer in national and international trainings on aviation meteorology, weather forecasting, marine forecasting, early warning systems, and verification of the forecasts. He participated in training activities, workshops, and conferences of international organizations such as WMO (World Meteorological Organization), ECMWF (European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts), EUMETSAT (European Organisation for the Exploitation of Meteorological Satellites). He worked as a member of WMO Early Warning, Marine Meteorology, CAS (Commission for Atmospheric Science) commissions, and as a delegate of Türkiye.
In October 2022, he started to work as an Engineer and Technical Inspector at the Air Navigation Department of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation. In March 2023, he was appointed as Deputy Head of the Flight Operations Department, and he was appointed as the Head of the Flight Operations Department in September 2023. He is mainly responsible for the Flight Standards Directorate, Flight Crew Licensing Directorate, Aircraft Registry Directorate, SAFA Directorate, Aeromedical Directorate, Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) and Hot Air Balloon Operations Directorate. He is married with two daughters.
