Aviation Agreement was signed with Philippines to increase the passenger flights..
15 Jun 2015With the civil aviation negotiations held between Turkey and Philippines; it was agreed to increase the flights between two countries and in addition to current points; 14 frequencies was defined for the services to the points except İstanbul Atatürk Airport and Manila.
Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Turkish Directorate General of Civil Aviation and Philippines Civil Aviation Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding as a result of the negotiations which was held in Cebu on 9-10 June 2015.
With the Memorandum of Understanding signed after the negotiations headed by Mr. Bahri KESİCİ, Deputy Director General of DGCA Turkey and Mr. Jose Perpetuo M.LOTILLA, Chairman of Philippines Air Consultations Panel, both parties have mutually obtained the right to increase the weekly frequencies from 3 to 7 on the route of Istanbul-Manila beginning from IATA 2015/2016 Winter Season. Moreover, the right of weekly 14 frequencies of passenger services to the points except İstanbul Atatürk Airport and Manila has been obtained for the carriers of the both parties. The current right of weekly 3 frequencies for cargo services has been kept as it is.
The designated airlines of Turkey will have the right to operate air services from all points in Turkey to all points in Philippines and the designated airlines of Philippines will have the right to operate air services from all points in Philippines to all points in Turkey.
Both Countries have the right to operate air services with 5th freedom traffic rights from a point and one point that will be specified later for Turkey and Frankfurt or Tel Aviv for Philippines have been specified in the Route Schedule.
