Our Director General Prof. Dr. Kemal YÜKSEK and ICAO EUR/NAT Paris Regional Director Captain Denis GUINDON held a meeting in Paris on 28 October 2021 to further develop the ongoing cooperation between ICAO and Turkey in the fields of training, environment and aviation security. In the meeting, the trainings offered by Turkey to developing countries and the trainings planned to be given in the coming period were on the agenda.

On the other hand, environment and aviation safety were among the topics discussed. Captain GUINDON stated that the trainings Turkey has provided so far are important and of good standards for African countries, the Balkans and Central Asian countries, and drew attention to the importance of continuing the trainings in question. He emphasized that the planning of the digital trainings offered by Prof. Dr YÜKSEK is very valuable both because of the current pandemic and in terms of providing innovation and convenience to the countries.

In addition to the support provided by Turkey to the ICAO EUR/NAT Paris office in the fields of environmental and aviation security, Captain GUINDON also thanked for the personnel support provided by Turkey. He stated that Turkey plays an active role in its region. It has been decided to hold on line and face-to-face meetings in order to strengthen cooperation with Turkey to provide support to the countries in need and ICAO in the upcoming period.
