Panama Civil Aviation Authority Delegation has performed an inspection visit at İstanbul Airport on 8-12 November 2021 within the scope of One Stop Security arrangement, Within the scope of the aforesaid visit, inspections were carried out on the following issues such as the screening of passengers, cabin baggage and hold baggage from our country to Panama, the related civil aviation security program, airport security program, quality control program, training program, security equipments, management of acts of unlawful interference, training of personnel and certification of scanners.

 

The inspection report and the recognition note regarding the aforesaid inspection were delivered to our Directorate General on 6th of December 2021. In the inspection report, it is stated that the aviation security measures implemented in our country and at Istanbul Airport are applied at international standards or at a higher level. In the note, it is stated that performing unilateral recognition of aviation security practices is appropriate based on the examination report, and in this context, passengers, cabin baggage and hold baggage flying to Panama Tocumen Airport from İstanbul Airport and transferring from there to another airport; can board on directly to the transfer aircraft without being re-scanned at Tocumen Airport, and the arrangement has started as of 26th of November 2021.
