Türkiye Approaches Pre-Pandemic Flight Levels

According to the EUROCONTROL statistics, Türkiye has approached the 2019 level in terms of flight volume in 2021 (as of the end of October). Despite the increase in flight level, there was no en-route delay.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it ranks 5th in terms of traffic at 31% compared to its total volume in 2021.





On the other hand, Turkish Airlines became the second airline company with the highest number of flights in Europe, with an average of 938 flights per day in 2021.






Finally, in 2021, Istanbul (IGA + Atatürk) ranked first in the list of the 20 busiest airports in Europe with an average of 856 flights per day.
