ECAC 162nd DIRECTORS GENERAL MEETING
The 162nd Directors General Meeting of the European Civil Aviation Conference (ECAC), of which our country is a founding member, was held on April 25, 2024, in Paris.
A delegation led by the Director General of Civil Aviation of Türkiye, Prof. Dr. Kemal YÜKSEK, represented our country at the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Director Generals of Civil Aviation from the 44 member states in the European region, as well as senior representatives from international organizations such as ICAO, the EU Commission, EUROCONTROL, EASA, and JAA TO.
Following presentations by representatives from ICAO, the EU Commission, EUROCONTROL, EASA, and JAA TO on developments since the last ECAC Directors General meeting held in December 2023, the outcomes of the Coordination Committee meeting held on 27 March 2024, the preparation of the 2025-2027 work program and budget, preparations for the ECAC triennial session to be held on 9-10 July 2024 in Strasbourg, developments related to ICAO matters and preparations for the ICAO Air Navigation Conference to be held in Montreal from 26 August to 6 September 2024, were discussed.
Additionally, our Director General Prof. Dr. Kemal YÜKSEK held discussions with the ECAC President regarding the determination of the ECAC candidate list for the 2025 ICAO Council elections. Furthermore, our Director General provided information to civil aviation authorities of Albania and Ukraine on the Corporate Transformation Model (CTM), Civil Aviation Automation System and Obstacle Query System implemented by our Directorate General within the scope of the New Civil Aviation Model and exchanged ideas on how our country's experiences and solutions could be adapted to these countries. As a result of the discussions, it was decided that cooperation between the authorities would continue in more detail at the technical level.
