Airline Transport Pilot License (ATPL) Processes
The type of license which is to be held by the pilot-in-command of the aircraft in flight operations carried out in consideration of a fee is Airline Transport Pilot License.
The following requirements are sought in applications for commercial pilot license:
- To be at least 21 years of age
- To hold a high school degree or its equivalent
- To hold a valid Class 1 medical certificate issued by the DGCA
- To have completed the required theoretical knowledge and flight instruction successfully at the flight training organizations authorized by the DGCA
- To have successfully completed the Theoretical knowledge examinations of ATPL
- To satisfy the flight time requirements prescribed by the applicable regulations.
- To hold a CPL and multi-engine IR
- To have completed MCC course.
- To prove that the application has no Criminal Record
An applicant for an ATPL(A) shall have completed as a pilot of aeroplanes at least 1500 hours of flight time. Of the 1500 hours flight time, the applicant shall have at least 500 hours in multi-pilot operations.
To successfully complete the check flight to be operated at the end of the training.
