Product Type Certification
A type certificate is issued to demonstrate compliance with the related Certification Specifications for the design of products (aircraft, engine or propeller).
Certification Specifications are different for each product, part and appliance. Below Specifications published by EASA are followed during type certification activity within the scope of working arrangement (WA) by EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency).

For aircraft, engine or propeller; Type Certificate applicants should make a detailed presentation at DGCA for their project first, and then they may apply to DGCA with related forms below.
Note: To have a type certificate, applicant should have DOA or accepted application for DOA.

- General information about organization
- Organizational structure and personnel
- Technical information about the product
- Projected schedule for the project
Application folder includes;
- Application letter
- SHGM Form 30 - Type Certificate Application Form
- DOA (SHGM Form 83a - Design Organization Approval) or application for DOA (SHGM Form 80-Design Organization Application Form)
- Proposed Certification Basis
- An application for an aircraft type-certificate or restricted type-certificate shall be accompanied by;
- a three-view drawing of that aircraft,
- preliminary basic data,
- the proposed operating characteristics and limitations.
- An application for an engine or propeller type-certificate shall be accompanied by
- a general arrangement drawing,
- a description of the design features,
- the operating characteristics, and the proposed operating limitations, of the engine, or propeller.
- Design, compliance verification and independent checking team list (Panel based)
- CVE and AS (if any) resumes
- Application fee
