Type Acceptance
DGCA determines the requirements which has been already registered or will be registered in the DGCA registration system. Type Certificate (TC) is issued or TC is validated/accepted in the framework of certification activies by DGCA.
TC’s are accepted given below.
1. TC’s are issued by European Union Safety Aviation Agency (EASA)
2. TC’s are issued by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)
3. TC’s are issued by Brasilian Civil Aviation Authority (ANAC)
4. TC’s are issued by Canada Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA)
5. TC’s are issued by EASA Member’s Civil Aviation Authorities or organisations authorised by those members.
6. TC’s are issued by Civil Aviation Authority which signed Bilateral Agreement with that authority.
Type Acceptance is not performed by automaticly, required some documents and demonstrations. These documents and demonstrations shall be submitted to DGCA by the applicant via its own certifying authority before delivery of the product (aircraft, engine, propeller).
- Approved TC and TCDS.
- 3D Drawings, Type Definition document or equivalent document
- Certification Compliance Checklist
- Compliance to special conditions including novel or unusual design features
- Engine emission information in the context of Annex 16 issued by ICAO
- Approved Flight Manual (if applicable configuration deviation list, etc.)
- Web Access Authorization for maintenance and operation documents (MPD, SB, IPC, MMEL, etc.)
- Operating and installation manuals (for engine and propeller)
- Familiarization Training for DGCA personnel.(At least 20 trainees)
Familiarization Training should be comprised of;
- Overview of fuselage, engine, electical and avionic systems,
- Working principles of system components,
- Safety issues,
- Maintenance applications, test tools, etc.
- Other subjects determined by the applicant.
After the reviewing of the documents and demonstrations, if DGCA finds it acceptable, Type Certificate Acceptance Document is issued to applicant and its own certifying authority by DGCA.
The procedure given above can be amended if the Bilateral Agreement allows different procedure.
Accepted type certificates by DGCA are given below in the framework of the prescribed procedure. The Aircrafts are accepted which have been already registered in the Registry System but the new type aircrafts which will be registered to the Registry System after the date 01.08.2016 must meet the requirements prescribed in the procedure.
